2023 Outlook - "This year we have a very strong core group of seniors that have really set the bar high and led the way in building and maintaining a strong team culture. Overall this senior group along with other exceptional teammates have renewed their focus and commitment to the intensity it takes to find boat speed in the Spring and win the race. We have started a very productive winter training season, which started with a winter training trip to Newport Beach, California. The athletes are putting in good work and as long as the intensity remains high - with a commitment to continuous improvement - then the team outlook looks very fast and competitive in our first varsity eight.
"However, there is even more work to do in our development group, composed of many of our younger oarsmen and guys coming back from injury. There is a lot of work they are doing to understand and match that intensity of our upperclassmen; or to get back to that intensity following injury. Overall, we have more than two eights comfortably and looking to field a JV eight out of this group that can push the 1V. With a very aggressive race schedule, including a very early race at the Las Vegas Invite - the determination and dedication of our top athletes and seniors will be put to the test and on full display early. This will set us up nicely for fast racing this spring."
