Conditions: To quote boys' coach, Lindsay Brown: Brutal. After a near white out snow squall turned to a steady drizzle, racing began with a light crosswind and relatively calm water. As racing progressed, the wind increased significantly, turning to a cross-head wind, and then a strong, direct headwind for the V8 races at the end of the day.
Comments: Many thanks to the crews who came and endured. Thanks also to the parents, friends, fans, and families who were there to cheer on the athletes on this cold, wet, and windy day. The crews handled the tough conditions, and so congratulations to the coxswains who all did so well on this day. Crew competing: St. Andrew's School (SAS), National Cathedral School (NCS), Walt Whitman, Lawrenceville, Mt. St. Joseph and Madison.
Comments: * Conditions were pretty awful and Whitman's 2nd Novice boat stopped about 20 strokes into the race believing race was called back. Their time does not represent their speed. The 2 Mt. St. Joseph boats were in the lead when Whitman stopped; however, the race would have been much closer. Apologies to Whitman.
