Conditions: Two
courses, Long - 8.75nm and Short - 3.75nm. Conditions were perfect,
flat water with only the slightest ripple from very light breeze that
came up around 9:30 a.m.
55 shells entered; 53 completed the race. Flat water shells were
restricted to the short (more protected) course; long course was
exclusively open water shells. Although the race has been held for 30
years somewhere on the lake, the venue has only recently settled into
one location, with set course distances. Thus you'll see that the course
records are all relatively recent.
