The 12nd Lakeside Regatta was the most fought competition between the other editions. This can be saw in the very similar distribution of the medals.

Last year Club España won the 11st Lakeside Regatta, this year was the one of the revenge.

UPIICSA Club of IPN (Polithecnic National Institute) win the Regatta, followed by Presidential Guards (a surprise result), Lakeside Rowing Club (as the last 11st Regatta, has the 3rd place).

All the positions and medals were:
1st UPIICSA 3 gold, 0 silver, 4 bronze
2nd Presidential Guards 2 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze
3rd Lakeside Rowing Club 2 gold, 3 silver, 0 bronze
4th España 2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze
5th Marina 2 gold, 1 silver, 0 bronze
6th UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze
7th Antares 1 gold, 1 silver, 0 bronze
8th Escuela de Remo (Rowing School) 1 gold, 1 silver, 0 bronze

Most exciting moments:
In the 5st race. 1xHMs (Master Men), the german rower Klaus Rasmussen (belong to the UPIICSA Club) won the race with a time of 3min 50.1s. Klaus repeat his title of national champion 2005 in this regatta. He will compete in the Master Worlwide Championships, on september 8, 9 an 10 at Princeton, USA.

In the 10th race. 1xH IT(Middle men), Horacio Rangel (from Lakeside Rowing Club) won the race with a comfortable time of 7min 42.75s. Horacio was the winner of silver medal in the recent edition of Centroamerican and Caribbean Games. He is candidate for the next Panamerican Games 2007.

In the 14th race. 8+ H Ms 1000 m (Master Men). Lakeside Rowing Club closet their event with a gold medal after a spectacular fight with the mixed boat of Marina and Antares Clubs. Lakeside win for 0.4s and posted a new record in their category (Master H).

In the 12th Lakeside Regatta 6 new national records were posted.

The master participants of UPIICSA, España and Canauhtli will compete at the Princeton Regatta at USA (september 8, 9 and 10)
