Distance: 2000m/1000m
Conditions: Strong (10-18mph), gusting headwind with heavy chop in first thousand, decreasing to just lumpy water in the second thousand. Men's V8 and 2nd N4, and 2nd Varsity Four run over full 2000m distance, then all racing was shortened to 1000m. Floating start with dubious alignment (due to course markings) for 1000m races.
Comments: Challenging water for all crews, with highly variable conditions as cells blew through. Only V8, 2nd Varsity Four, and 2nd Novice Four were run at 2k, all others at 1k. 1000m results are marginal at best as the 1000m 'start' was not well aligned with the finish line.
