Distance: 1500 meters
Conditions: Increasing tailwind and chop as racing progressed. Varsity 8s rowed first, then 2Vs, then lower boats. Whitecaps in the second half of the course forced lower boats to be canceled, with V8s rowing their 2nd race.
Comments: Thanks to an outstanding ref crew which handled difficult conditions with short centers. Thanks to the crews from BCC, Yorktown, McLean, St. Albans and National Cathedral School who made the racing top notch. Floating starts and strong winds made for racing distances between 1100-1500 meters.
