Distance: 1,500 Meters Conditions: Strong cross-tail early, gradually subsiding; considerable chop in the last 1,000 for most races. Many races started a but over the line, as the wind was pushing the boats. Comments: A oarlock that opened in one race, from which the boat (St. Mark's) recovered fiercely; a broken foot stretcher which delayed a race; but on the whole, the boats handled somewhat difficult conditions well and raced hard, and the lightning did not come.
