Conditions: Distance medley relay. Stake race format. 20 rower mixed teams, average age 45. Flat water, 5kt west wind, some current. 9 teams - Cambridge(2) Blue & White, Carnegie Lake, CRI(2) 1 & 2, Marin, Potomac, Riverside, Union
Comments: The regatta celebrated Cambridge Boat Club's 100th anniversary. Teams were only told that they had to bring 10 men and 10 women averaging 45yrs. Boating & lineup strategies varied significantly - some boatings above were mixed, some all men or all women. Teams ranged from current elite rowers to Olympic veterans to established club rowers to newcomers. Start/finish of each relay leg was at CBC dock, w/ stakes downstream. Course was buoyed similar to HOCR and State Police controlled boat traffic during the race. Special thanks to Concept 2 and Long Trail Brewery.
