Distance: Approximately 1750 M Conditions: Floating start. Strong head current with moderate tail wind that increased during the event. Mostly flat water. Comments: The start was floating, and events did not start at the same location for each race. Amherst 2V8 suffered an equipment malfunction in the first 500, and had to stop to resolve it. They restarted well behind Smith College. Smith had already established a considerable lead when the mishap occurred.
