Conditions: Strong head/cross wind, water ok. Racing upstream against the current
Comments: rough water, and difficulty lining up at the start. In the 1V race, Brookline and Hingham collided off the start and locked oars. Attempts by the officials to stop the race went unheard in the wind, and all three boats kept racing regardless. After 300m of shouting and flag waving, the race was allowed to continue. The crews regained their composure quickly, and the collision did not seem to affect the outcome of the race.
