Head Race: Head of the Anacostia
September 23, 2007; Washington, DC - Anacostia River

Submitted by Kelley O'Connell.

Distance: 2.5 Miles
Conditions: Conditions remained the same for all races. Mile one, strong cross headwind with big chop. Mile two to finish, flatter water, head current, and headwind. Sunny and hot for all races.
Comments: The novice 8+ boats raced a shorter course starting up stream of the south capital bridge. The 3rd HOTA Apple Pie Baking Contest had 18 entries. The judges were USRA Refs Dr. K, Cindy Chang, & Doug. The winner was a women from the We Can Row boat and as soon as I get her name I will update this info.
