Conditions: Variable cross-headwind, light-moderate chop, driving rain for most of the day. A miserable day for crews waiting to be aligned and for our stake boat volunteers. Race order G5-B4-G4-B3-G3-B2-G2-B1-G1-B5. Headwind, rain, and chop varied widely between races. Gusting crosswind pushed boats all over the course at times.
Comments: Thanks to all who weathered the weather on this fine spring day. In the boys' fourth boat race, Taft caught a boat-stopping crab in the first 500m. In the boys' second boat race Middlesex took St. Mark's by about two feet - the times reflect my reaction time more than the margin. In the boys' first boat race it was too close to call between Pomfret and Nobles. Conditions and high winds made courses do a fair amount of sidewinding.
