Distance: 1280m Conditions: variable cross headwind off the Boston shore Comments: In the first boat race, the Belmont Hill crew was hit and significantly slowed at about the 800m mark when hit by a large wake left by a powerboat exiting the course to the Cambridge side. The wake did not impact the other two crews.
