Distance: 1500m(Fr)-3mile(2V)-4mile(1V)
Conditions: Consistent 8-10 mph head wind; very little tail current flow (5,000 cfs or less).
Comments: Very good, determined, side-by-side racing by all crews. Neither Fox Chapel nor Allderdice had a 3V or 4V and so Central's 3V and 4V raced the 3-mile course rather than the traditional 2-mile course. Central had a 5V 4+ and a 3F 4+ which rowed together as a combination crew in the 1500m race. The University of Pittsburgh and Allderdice each fielded a 1V only.
