Conditions: Overcast and cool. Flat water. Medium headwind varied between cross and straight on as the course changed. No current.
Comments: Annual dual between the two oldest public high schools in the US. Distances: 1V8 - 2.5 miles, 2V8 - 2.0 miles, 1N8 - 1.0 miles Comments: Downstream course has 6 turns and two bridges between Community Rowing and the Cambridge Boat Club. Floating starts. 1V8 - Due to injuries, Boston Latin made several last minute substitutions at the starting line. Boston Latin struggled at the start to get going and Cambridge opened a gap that increased steadily throughout the race. Boston Latin now leads the series 3 wins to 1. 2V8 - Race begins at the N. Beacon St. bridge. Cambridge moved quickly out to an open water lead and then Boston Latin worked their way back to win by less than a length. First year for this event. 1N8 - Race begins at the Arsenal St. bridge. Boston Latin led from the start and slowly worked their way out to open water. Series tied 1 - 1.
