HS/Scholastic: Perry-Johnson Cup
April 3, 2011; Mercer Lake, NJ

Submitted by Barb Grudt.

Distance: 1500m
Conditions: 15 mph tail wind with gusts. Very choppy conditions for the last 1000m.
Comments: Floating starts were used for all races, most of which started surprisingly close to the line. The Perry-Johnson Cup is a points trophy including results from the girls and boys 1V, 2V, 3V and novice crews. The winner of the most events wins the cup. In the event of a tie, the larger margin of victory of either the boys or girls varsity crew determines the winner. This year, the Peddie girls broke the tie. All crews raced well in the rough conditions, with remarkably few crabs in the novice events.
