Submitted by Oli Rosenbladt. Distance: ~1500 Conditions: variable cross-tail, strengthening as the racing went on, strongest for G2. slight to moderate chop. Comments: Order of racing was G5/G4/G3/G2/G1, interspersed with Boys racing In the Girls 3rd boat, Deerfield and Porters were running neck and neck, with Porters two seats up at the 750, when Deerfield veered into Porters' lane, clashing oars for two strokes. The final order of finish was DA/MPS/Choate, but Deerfield was judged to have interfered with Porters sufficiently to merit disqualification. With the win in the V4, Choate retains the Allen Cup. Racing was originally scheduled to be held at Deerfield Academy's home course on the Connecticut river in Deerfield, but due to flooding this was not possible. Many thanks to Brett Mathes and Pomfret for allowing us the use of their facility on short notice, and for serving as the aligner during the racing.
