Distance: 1500m
Conditions: Strong cross headwind, moderate chop, gusting conditions. Race order: 2nd eights, 4th eights, 1st eights, 3rd eights. 1st eights started above the line, 2nd eights started on the line, 3rd and 4th eights started over the line.
Comments: Conditions were toughest at the start, with crossing headwinds. Several crews had difficulty steering the course, and the gusts made racing difficult in the first 500m.
Thank you to Tabor and BC High and Belmont Hill crews for making the trip, as the race was originally scheduled for Boston. Despite difficult conditions, the athletes and coaches made it a good day of racing.
