Conditions: There was a light headwind for all of the racing.
Comments: Congratulations are in order to both the Plant and Winter Park men's 3V8s. Both crews showed exceptional racing maturity for young high school athletes. There was never more than about 6 seats separating the crews. Both crews rowed well for the first 1500m; despite fatigue and the tightening margin, both remained clean in the final 300m. Fortunately, it was not a case of a crew "losing" the race in the end but rather that one good boat simply beat another good boat in the final strokes.
