Conditions: Steady cross tail wind throughout the regatta.
Comments: The Brown Cup was won by Peddie in a tie-breaker (largest margin of victory in either the Boys' or Girls' 1st Four event. All crews raced hard and well in what has become a perennially close event. Boys' Freshman/4V eight: after a crash in the first start, and a restart, Peddie got out cleanly, chasing and putting pressure on the aggressive L'ville A boat. L'ville-A slowly moved out to about 1/2-2/3 of a length lead before an over-the-head crab broke their speed and their rhythm. Though they recovered to take second, defeating a second L'ville entry, they could not catch the Peddie crew that had jumped into the lead as a result of the crab.
