Distance: 1250m Conditions: A cool and sunny day.
There were very strong and swirling winds throughout racing, with no race favored or disadvantaged more than others.
The wind was primarily a WNW wind /cross-tail from starboard, so the middle part of the course was reasonably sheltered, but conditions at the start made it extremely difficult for coxswains to stay in their lanes while also holding on the starting line, so the start time of each races was delayed.
The water was mildly choppy throughout, and there was still a slightly stronger than normal current from recent rain. Comments: Thayer brought three boats, but after discussion between the coaches, it was decided that it would be more constructive to have the Thayer 3rd boat, composed of novices, race against the BB&N 4th boat, rather than against the two other 3rd boats.
