Collegiate Men & Women: NCRC Invitational
April 1, 2006; Vancouver Lake, WA

Submitted by Sam Taylor.

Distance: 2000m
Conditions: Full results here.

Course: 2000m buoyed course, floating starts. Weather: light rain to cloudy to occasional sun. Wind: 5-15mph cross-headwind. Conditions: Chop decreasing through the course but increasing through the day; last 500m was fine, middle thousand so-so, lots of whitecaps in first 500. Races were run at 2000m until the Women's 4+ heats; two boats swamped during this race and all racing was suspended for an hour as conditions were worsening. Referee's and coaches made the decision to race the four remaining eights races (Women's Open 2V8+, Women's Open 8+, Men's Open 8+, Women's Novice 8+) at 1000m, at which point all remaining races were canceled. Notes: Rolling starts were used for alignment; race distance for many races was short of 2000m. Full results here.
