Distance: 1500m
Conditions: 70, moderate (7-10 mph) cross head wind from starbosrd from starboard, especially in first 600m. Conditions improving through 2nd boats, then more wind for 1st boats.
Comments: In the Boys 4th, St. John's second novice boat was in second place with 200m to go, but had to take major evasive action to avoid collision with a boat heading toward the start. Their loss of one place was insignificant in comparison to the equipment and athletes that were protected.
