Varsity 8
1. Michigan 7:05
2. Iowa 7:18
3. Michigan 7:20 (2V8)

Varsity 4
1. Michigan 8:28
2. Iowa 8:38
3. Michigan 9:12 (2V8)

First Novice 8
1. Michigan 8:03
2. Iowa 8:27
Comments: In the 1N8 race, Iowa, about 5 seats up on Michigan, lost an oar collar (2 seat) and caught a crab at the 1000 meter mark. Michigan steered around the listing Iowa boat, and although Iowa showed a lot of mettle by continuing to row hard, bow also had to drop out because the coxswain had difficulty steering with the extra starboard.

Second Novice 8
1. Iowa 8:18
2. Michigan 8:26
Comments: In the 2N8 race, Michigan caught an over-the-head crab at about 150 meters and stopped dead in the water, perpendicular to the course. Initially five boat lengths down, they rowed to within eights seats before stroke's seat came untracked with 500 meters to go.

Third Novice 8
1. Michigan 8:16
2. Iowa 8:47
