Race report:

1st Varsity:
Georgetown gained about 2 seats off of the line. By the time the crews had settled, Columbia had managed to pull even. Columbia held off a push from Georgetown and achieved a two seat lead by the 500m mark. At this point, Columbia began to walk away from Georgetown and lead by a length at the 1000m mark. As the crews entered the rougher conditions, Columbia opened up water between the crews. With 250m to go, Georgetown caught a crab, allowing Columbia to win by 20 seconds.

2nd Varsity
Columbia jumped out to about 6 seats by the time the crews settled into their base. By the 500 meter mark, Columbia had opened up water and continued to expand their lead throughout the race. Columbia's 3rd Varsity also competed, and finished 3 seconds before Georgetown.

1st Freshman
Georgetown led off of the start by about 4 seats, but Columbia pulled even by the 500m mark. At this point, Columbia began to inch away and took a lead of about four seats. At the 1000m mark, Columbia led by a length and slowly improved their lead until the finish.

2nd Freshman (4+)
Columbia led by close to a length by the 500m mark and opened up water after the 1,000 meter mark. In the last few hundred meters, Georgetown sprinted well, but Columbia was able to hold off their advance with a 1.2 second victory.
