May 2, 1998; Connecticut River, Hanover, NH

Thanks to sasha for the commentary (results from Cornell SID).

Varsity 8
Dartmouth 5:43.3
Cornell 5:45.4

Second Varsity 8
Cornell 5:49.4
Dartmouth 5:53.3
JV-Cornell rowed solid ahead of Dartmouth. They had half a boat coming
into the sprint, during which Cornell took of to win by a small margin
of open water.

First Freshman
Cornell
Dartmouth (margin 0.1 seconds)
1F-Tought race. Down the whole way back and forth each crew beating on
each other. It never got desided as the line official called it a "dead
heat". After everyone was on land, and some debate it was determined
that Cornell won by a bow ball, literally.

Second Freshman
Dartmouth 5:51.0
Cornell 5:51.5
2F-Dartmouth gained half a baot length of the start. Cornell walked
back a couple. From that point on, it was very solid racing exchanging
seats back and forth untill the 700 meter mark. At 700 Cornell gaines a
seat lead. They keep it untill there is 100 meters left when Dartmouth
brings it up and rows through them for a seat win.
