Pangbourne Preparations Submitted by: Richard Follett (May 10, 2021)
Pangbourne College Boat Club 1st VIII gets in some early morning training in preparation for National Schools' Regatta at the end of May. The Pangbourne stretch of the River Thames was the host venue of the National Schools' Regatta when it first changed its name from the 'Colts and Third Eights Regatta' in 1964 and stayed there for 10 years, before moving to the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham. More recently the regatta has been held at Dorney Lake, host venue for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
