At most events there are those who are the visible face of the event and those quietly reside in the shadows but without whose hard work the event would not be possible. One of these essential people at events on Mercer Lake is Joe Gribbins.
Joe works with organizers of events in Mercer County Park to ensure that there is EMT and emergency service coverage. As an event organizer, we at PNRA know that whether the event requires EMT stations and ambulances or someone in an Emergency services vehicle, Joe will make sure that we are covered with trained and competent people. His "OK lets figure out how to get this done" with a focus on the safety of all who participate or spectate is something that is highly valued. No matter what the issue, no matter what the weather, he will be there and approaches every person in need of assistance with the same calm caring smile letting them know that they are the most important person and "we will take care of you." His approach and attitude is reflected in all of the West Windsor Emergency Services people who work at our events.
In October, Joe will retire for the West Windsor Emergency Services. Although we suspect that he would rather remain quietly in the background, we think he deserves the recognition as someone who through his dedication and service to make so many events in our region successful.
