Today, 23rd August: Teams have been training in nearly zero wind conditions all day today, 23rd August, in Gifu.
Tomorrow, 24th August: The forecast for tomorrow, 24th August, is also relatively calm and we expect that training can continue all day. continued below...
Thursday, 25th August: The typhoon has slowed and is now expected to arrive in Gifu on the morning of the 25th reach its peak on the 26th and the winds should diminish on the 27th. We expect that it will not be possible to train on the water from the 25th to the 27th. There are 100 rowing ergometers on site for the rowers.
Friday and Saturday, 26th and 27th: The typhoon-level winds will continue until the 27th and no training is expected to be possible.
Sunday and Monday, 28th and 29th: We expect that training on the water can start again on the 28th, but in the warming up area.
We expect that the course can be installed on the 28th and be completed by the 29th.
Tuesday, 30th: With the latest forecast, our prediction is that racing can start on 30th August which means, and this is only our latest projection, that the first four days of the programme will be compressed into two days.
