Registration for the 2020 HOCR4702 has been extended through October 10th; register today to race 4702m live on October 17th against hundreds of rowers from around the world.
They have also extended the performance submission deadlines for 4702 Water and 4702 Erg to end October 18. So wherever you are, and whatever equipment you have, you now have a longer window to perform and submit your own HOCR piece.
Find all updated deadines as well as registration information, rules, and links at https://www.hocr.org/competitors/remote-event-registration/
There is no lottery for the Global Remote Event – all are welcome to race. Results from the Global Remote Event will have no bearing on the 2021 draw.
Athletes may row 4702 meters on their own body of water any time between October 9th and October 18th. The ability to submit your score will not open until this week.
Using any device that tracks GPS and can export a .gpx file, athletes will record their piece and upload their .gpx file to Time-Team. Do not worry about submitting exactly 4702m; Time-Team will automatically take the fastest consecutive 4702m from your piece for the results page. Results will be displayed both on the Time-Team website and RegattaCentral.
Participatory On-Water donation is $15. 100% of proceeds collected from the Global Remote Event will be put toward the HOCR x Gold Cup Grant Fund. You can read more about the grant fund here.
