If you've ever attended a fall-weekend regatta and wandered aimlessly from boat trailer to bridge to soggy, uncovered viewing area, cursing yourself for not bringing a blanket and a lawn chair, then the Eliot Bridge Enclosure, our ticketed hospitality venue complete with heaters and flooring, is the perfect place for you and yours to enjoy the racing.
Created in 2009 as a refuge for out of town Masters Crews, the "EBE" has evolved into a cozy VIP tent for spectators of all colors and stripes. Located on the Boston-side banks of the Charles, just upstream of the Eliot Bridge, this inviting oasis offers upscale amenities and food for those seeking a ticketed enclosure for the weekend or just a single day. Modeled playfully after the Stewards' Enclosure at the Henley Royal Regatta, the EBE matches every feature of its UK counterpart and far surpasses it when it comes to culinary offerings.
This year the EBE will be catered by Boston's hottest new restaurant, the Island Creek Oyster Bar, located in Kenmore Square. Did you ever imagine coming to the Head Of The Charles for a gourmet meal? Well, it has arrived! For early risers, there will be homemade scones and muffins, bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese, seasonal fruits and even quiches.
For lunch, on either Saturday or Sunday, one can feast on an array of the following:
In addition to your meal, you will be given two gratis drink tickets to enjoy your choice of a cold beer, with Long Trail IPA or Wolaver's seasonal pumpkin brew on draught, or to warm up with a glass of wine, with selections including Raymond Vineyards' Cabernet Sauvignon, Lyeth Pinot Noir, and French Rabbit Sonoma Valley chardonnay.
For more information on how to purchase tickets, visit the Eliot Bridge Enclosure. We hope to see you there in just a few days!
