PARKING AND LAUNCHING
SINGLES AND DOUBLES - GO TO SADL
Rowers of singles and doubles will store their boats and launch from the Singles and Doubles Launch (SADL) at Magazine Beach Memorial Drive (Route 2) on the Cambridge side of the river.
Limited parking is available for cars carrying shells at the parking lot, next to Riverside Boat Club and the DCR Swimming Pool. DCR Rangers will direct cars to overflow parking as needed.
Driving to SADL
QUADS, FOURS & EIGHTS - GO TO FALS
Boat launching and storage will be available at the Finish Area Launch Site (FALS) on Soldiers Field Road on the Boston side of the Charles River, between Eliot Bridge and Northeastern's Henderson Boathouse.
FALS consists of one large parking lot adjacent to the finish line, and three smaller lots between the Herter Park and the Eliot Bridge. The Regatta will provide racks and space near the docks, for storage and rigging of boats during the weekend.
Driving to FALS
A Regatta volunteer will meet each trailer to issue the driver a parking permit for a designated area, and direct the driver to a parking space.
Please use the utmost caution when traveling on Soldier's Field Road, which is not designed for large vehicles. Do NOT attempt to drive under any overpasses on Soldiers Field Road. A portion of this route closes at 8:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday.
FALS Trailer Parking
The FALS area will be open for trailer parking from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Friday, October 16th. Those arriving before 7:00 AM Friday will be directed to an offsite lot until opening time.
In case of emergency, Regatta and security personnel must be able to contact the truck operator at all times. Please leave a mobile phone number and name of the truck's operator on the driver's side of the dashboard in the truck's cab. If the driver chooses to take the truck offsite, truck drivers are asked to place a mobile phone number and contact name in a clear plastic bag, and attach the bag with duct tape to the hitch part of the trailer.
