Rigger Tricks
Malt Vinegar to Clean Tracks and Deck
July 1, 2015

Cornell light men's coach Chris Kerber sent us this tip he learned from a New World-er in Queen Elizabeth's boatyard:

Henley-on-Thames, UK - An unnamed North American boatman pulled Malt Vinegar out of his tool box today to clean the tracks and decks before the race with a fresh water rinse. I tried it... it works!

All the best from HOT Henley,
Chris

One of the most undervalued cleaners that exists, and also an excellent weed control product for the dock. Sarson's malt is like Budweiser in the UK, one can find it in an shop.

Any reason to use malt vinegar rather than regular old white vinegar. I prefer malt vinegar on my chips but.....

Regular, old white vinegar works just fine.
