While there were several close A Final finishes at the Paris Olympics, the two best sprints for gold go to the Croatian men's pair and the British women's quad.
The Croatian brothers of Martin and Valent Sinkovic stormed back from fourth place at the 1500 meter mark to take gold by 0.45 seconds over Great Britain and Switzerland. It was the third Olympic gold for the brothers and fourth overall. Read our post race report here.
The British women's quad ran in second place to the Dutch for most of the race before ramping up their sprint and taking the lead right before the line to win by 0.15 seconds. Neither crew knew the result for about fifteen seconds after the crossing the line before Great Britain starting celebrating. Read our quad final report here.
