12/16: Romanian Women Double Up
The Romanian women qualified all but the W1x for the Paris Olympics at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade, and that gave them a lot of options on how to boat their athletes in Paris. They chose the hard way, and doubled up all eight of the rowers from the W8+ into the W2-, W2x, and W4-.
The gamble paid off with both the pair and the double winning silver, and eight taking the gold by open water (of note, the W4- just missed out on winning bronze).
