If you have spent any amount of time at a boathouse, you have probably come across at least one boathouse dog. They can be seen riding along in a launch or keeping the geese off of the docks or simply taking a nap while you erg. Back in 2016 the Favorite Boathouse Dog (Club) was Stevie Bones from Atlanta Rowing Club. It has been a few years and now it is time for the next generation of boathouse dogs to work their way into the spotlight.

Blake and Guinness
Stone Bridge High School Rowing
They loved coming to practice. The only issue was keeping them in the launch ad have them stay quit when we slowed down and I was talking to the crews as they thought it was time to speak up also.

	Rowie
	Sarasota County Rowing Club
	Rowie is our boathouse dog at the Sarasota County Rowing Club in Osprey, FL working on the Intracoastal. He is the best because he loves to go out every day in the launch with Coach (his owner) and especially loves to bark and let us know when dolphins are around.

Louis
Moorestown Rowing Club
This is Louis from Moorestown Rowing Club. Like all good coxswains, he is quick to bark at anything out of place yet he has nothing but love for all his rowers. This picture was taken while inspecting the seat height. He is very sad that this rower needs two butt pads and he wishes he, and the rower, were just a little bit taller.

	Astro
	California Yacht Club Junior Rowing
	Our boathouse dog's name is Astro. He is the California Yacht Club Junior Rowing dog. Having Astro around makes even the toughest workouts more tolerable. He puts a smile on everyone's face......most importantly, even the coach. He only has one coaching comment, however, he thinks everyone rows just a bit ruff.

Quarky
Belmont Rowing Center
While we don't have a physical boathouse, Quarky the corgi claims that the coach's launch is all you need anyways! Especially being ready to toss the lifejackets. And no worries, at ~15 and arthritic, she'll let you know that she is still as sprightly as when she was a pup. 13/10 best assistant coach ever.

	North Allegheny Rowing Assn
	Coach Maple takes her job very seriously- from The start of practice when she ensures the life jacket bags are arranged just so in the launch for her mid practice nap to when she gets back to the dock for the important job of greeting rowers as they return- she leaves no task undone - especially not pre- practice lap cuddles.

Barley
Row America Greenwich
SulReady... Attention.... Woof. Barley joins Row America Greenwich at 530am to cheer on the high schoolers and remind them when their catch timing or their ratio is off! She NEVER forgets her high viz bandana for safety!

	Nigel
	College Club of Seattle
	10 Week Old Nigel was meant to be a farm dog, spending his days herding sheep. Nigel has decided he would rather pass the day at the boathouse, when he is not lounging on the launch he is a world class napper.

Henley
Moorestown Rowing Club
She is 3 months old and loves riding the launch helping me coach on the Cooper River

Out on the water, Rusty is the ultimate lifeguard dog! He is always scanning the horizon for trouble, ready to jump in the water and help our rowers at a moment's notice... or maybe just take a swim :)

	Hey! I'm Hobbs and ever since my mama got me I've been coaching at Rocket City Rowing Club. I'm at the river almost everyday greeting kids and helping them on the water!

Max
Western Reserve Rowing
Max might be small but he's mighty! Everyone knows him as he runs around prior to practice greeting everyone, keeps an eye on the crews on the river, and enjoys some cuddles during debrief. A great first mate always by my side.

	This is Swain - black lab mascot of Litchfield Hills Rowing Club in Litchfield, CT. He's our Asst coach and helps Coach Drew Combs with every practice.

Pippa
Nassau Rowing Club
This is Assistant Coach Pippa. She is 6 years old and lives in Nassau, The Bahamas. Pippa LOVES boat rides, snacks, and helps to calm 2k anxiety. She doesn't like salt water or flying. Pippa is cute, smart, and protective of her team. Nassau Rowing Club would not be the same without her!
