For a few months now, we have been sharing with the rowing community photos from a time before row2k (way before!). A time where rowing photos were not just something you could quickly instagram with your phone or you could look through galleries upon galleries of your rowing escapades in seconds. Each week when we post these features, one of the first comments we see are, "look at what they are wearing!". That's why this week we are highlighting rowing fashion.
In some ways what rowers wore in the early 1900's isn't drastically far off what they wear today. Fortunately most teams have learned since the early 1900's white trou isn't the best idea, but the most drastic change has been on the coaching side of things. Even at practice, coaches seemed to always wear a suit and tie every day. Time to step up your game coaches!
If you have any photos from "back in the day" that you would like for us to feature on row2k, send the photos our way! We would love to do another reader submitted Wayback Wednesday soon.
