Let's face it, the fall rowing season for collegiate rowers in the US is looking quite dubious. There is one group however that has slowly been getting back on the water this summer and that's rowing clubs!

This week's Wayback Wednesday we are featuring 5 pre-1930 rowing clubs.
1) Potomac Boat Club. It was established in 1859 originally as the Potomac Barge Club.
2) New York Athletic Club. Founded in 1868 and has featured rowing for over 125 years.
3) Capital Athletic Club.
4) Duluth Boat Club. Established in the early 1900's.
5) Detroit Boat Club. Founded in 1839 and is the oldest rowing club in North America.
