One of the best performances of the 2018 World Rowing Championships was in the men's quad where Italy put on a display of peaking when it mattered most. The crew shut down in the heat and finished sixth. Then grabbed the last qualifying position in their repechage, finishing second. Then came through in the final, winning from the outside lane.
