Yale won it's first heavyweight varsity 8+ IRA title in 2017 on Lake Natoma, CA. In the grand final, the Bulldogs got out to a quick lead and held off a hard charging Washington crew to win by 0.07 seconds.

After a short video review, Yale were announced the winner and no less than five of the Bulldogs jumped into the lake.
