The first-year class is particularly driven in its search for speed and desire to uphold the William Smith tradition. On the varsity, we have been making big gains every day with many of the returners suddenly emerging as great leaders in the spaces now vacated by last year’s seniors. We are very eager to take on the water once it thaws."

We have a great core of returners and a vibrant, strong novice class. Our energy is very high—especially with the recent return of our athletes who were abroad—and we are committed to the entire program stepping forward. The athletes are embracing this challenge and I am very excited to see where their efforts put us."
