I can only apologise for the little bit of expletives, but I hope you understand the pressure and intensity of the race, and that it adds that little bit of colour to it! This is the first time a British crew has won the student 8's event at Henley Regatta since 2006, that has been dominated by American crews in the past. It was an amazing race, where Brookes were clear of Brown after not even 400m following a devastating start. This set the tone for the rest of the race, with Brookes' unbreakable rhythm seeing them continue to move away from Brown through the whole race.
