2012 USA M8+ rower Brett Newlin began rowing at Michigan State University in 2000. He later transferred to the University of Washington in 2003 and has been training as a US National team member since. He rowed in the M4- in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and will row in the M8+ in London.
