Patty took this as we were coming through the Montlake Cut. She is very loud in her shouts of support so turn your volume down! This is our first race as a club and as individuals. No, we did not win, but we rowed better than we ever had together and it was quite something to make it this far since we all started from scratch in April. Yeah!

2012 Princeton Chase WV8+ Congestion

The camera was rolling as several of the womens' varsity eights approached the first major turn on the Princeton Chase course. I actually don't know the yielding rules so I'm not sure who is at fault in this one or if it's just normal head racing.
Some of the audio is silent in this video.
October 28, 2012. Lake Carnegie, Princeton, NJ.
Weather conditions were in the low 50s with tail winds from North to South coming down the long straight away on the first half plus of the course. We just missed the rain from Hurricane Sandy which commenced right after the regatta.
Camera location was on the eastern shore of Lake Carnegie on the canal path at the outside of the first big turn.

UCD rowers win all four Patrick's Day colours races in 2011 Gannon and Corcoran victories

University College Dublin rowers swept the boards in the 2011 Dublin intervarsity rowing races, winning all four challenges. The Men Senior VIII rowing crew recorded an impressive four length lead to beat Trinity in the 64th Gannon Cup race on St Patricks Day, completing a four-in-a-row winning streak. The Women Senior team secured a ¾ length victory in the Corcoran Cup, while the UCD novice teams secured wins in the Dan Quinn Perpetual Shield and Moorhead Trophy competitions.
