Zero Degree Channel Attempt Nov 2010 watrbird · August 23, 2011 In November 2010 a crew of 5 female rowers from Upper Thames Rowing Club, UK, attempted to break the record for crossing the Zero Degree Channel in the Maldives. All night the crew waited for a break in the weather, it never came, but they set off anyway. This footage is only the first 20mins it got worse. 3 hours later the crew were only averaging 3.5 kmph and retired - to fight another day. the crew were - Guin Batten, Rachel Woolf, Elise Cope, Louise Carey & Ali Gill.
