Tell Me About the Wrinkle (Head Race Freighter Blockade) Jim Ridge · September 22, 2013 Yesterday's Cleveland Rowing Foundation Head of the Cuyahoga was a triumph on many levels. But enthusiasm for the day was severely tempered by two Canadian flagged freighters moored to either side of the Cuyahoga River bulkhead, creating a bottleneck that forced regatta organizers to chop off more than 45% of the original 4,800 meter HOTC course length.
We are getting to the bottom of why governmental entities failed a community that has been a dedicated stakeholder of Cleveland’s historic and scenic Cuyahoga River. But just like the Cuyahoga River’s comeback, when our out-of-town guests return to compete on this urban beauty next year, we WILL be ready to entertain you!
