Adam Holland: from Olympic rowing to copyright law

Adam Holland spent a large portion of his life "doing nothing but making [himself] the fastest rower possible." He competed internationally for nearly ten years, winning medals at 1994 and 1997 World Championships. After retiring from international competition in 2004 he decided to move on to the next phase in his life: getting a law degree. Holland says he hadn't really considered a law degree before because he "had never been exposed to the widest possible range of things you can do within the law." However, he now finds himself interested in intellectual property law. Holland find this the most exciting because it's an area of law that's constantly changing. Although he no longer trains with the same rigor as when he was competing, Holland still finds time in his busy schedule to get out on the water.
