Penn (left lane), Cornell (right lane). May 23, 2014, ~9:20 a.m. start. Cayuga Inlet, Ithaca, NY. 2014 Madeira Cup, Varsity Eight: Cornell 5:51.2 Penn 5:55.8 Yes, that was a drone that Cornell was flying after the start to get some aerial video. Tiniest possible tail current. Heavy clouds. Temps when still about 60 F, but about 57.5 when moving. The winds had flipped between the preceding 2V8+ race and Varsity race, going from a slight tail for the 2V8+ to a mild headwind of ~1.5 mph for the V8+ race.
