2012 Outlook
"The Badger Lightweights had a very strong fall racing season and were able to accomplish more at our winter training camp in Florida than expected. The team is young this year after graduating a big class of seniors last season. We have a very experienced group of juniors who are the core of the team, and a big group of hard-working, aggressive freshmen. It will be a steep learning curve this spring as we start off against defending champs Stanford and build speed to regain the IRA Championship."

2012 Outlook
"While we have most of the key guys from last year returning the outlook is mixed. The ergs are good for their size. However, the lack of size--height in particular--is a liabilty for us.We finished better last year than I thought we would chiefly due to the emergence of the two seniors in the stern pair of the 8 that avergaged about 6'6" and 200lbs. This year, I doubt we'll have even one 200 pounder in the 1st 8 and the tallest kid may only be 6'4". Competition is very strong this year and we will be very happy to at least be in the thick of it."

2012 Outlook
"Coming off of a successful fall racing season highlighted by a return to the Head of the Charles for the first time since 2004, we’re looking forward to getting back between the buoy lines and head to head racing. We have a very aggressive racing schedule which includes the potential to test ourselves against a majority of last year’s top 15 schools, as well as other teams who are poised to be in that position this year. Our senior leadership has been outstanding to this point, and the team is a really fun and motivated group of women to be with – we’re all psyched to get out on the water and see what we can accomplish this season."
