2012 Outlook "Leadership will be critical to the team’s spring success. Following a disappointing fall, the team entered the winter motivated to improve. The athletes are on their own as our league mandates a 3-month coaching moratorium and I am excited to see the athletes again on February 15."

2011 Outlook "Following the graduation of fourteen seniors last spring, a strong but inexperienced group of athletes prepared well for our fall competitions. Finishing 3rd and 11th in the Collegiate 8 at the Charles, and 6th in the Collegiate 4 indicated that we were on the right track heading into the winter training period. Our league (NESCAC) requires athletes train on their own through the winter so it will be interesting to see how this group of athletes did during the required off-season."

2010 Outlook "Each week of racing, beginning with the Crew Classic and concluding at the ECAC Championship, will require the crews to perform at a very high level in order to be successful. The challenges for the squad are impressive but I know that the men are excited and will be ready when they get to the line."

2012 Outlook "This year's team is focusing on the daily challenge of improving in many areas of athleticism. The squad has shown good commitment and an improving attention to detail that will be needed during our ambitious racing schedule. I'm particularly interested in seeing the progress of our sophomore and junior classes as they comprise the majority of our varsity program."

2011 Outlook "The 2011 campaign for the Trinity Women is going to be very competitive and intriguing. Each week presents a new challenge and we will have to be very methodical in our approach and preparation. Because the group is so positive I believe they will have a good opportunity to focus on the daily preparation and not be tempted to look ahead. It has been fun to see the development of one of the larger senior classes in recent memory together with a very motivated freshman squad - This will likely have us fielding four experienced eights and an additional novice four."

2010 Outlook "I’m really interested to see how this year’s team progresses – we have some excellent first and second year rowers who should make strides to have an impact similar to our large junior class, and a senior class who has experienced a good deal of success in their time at Trinity. The lessons we’ve learned from past NCAA Championships should improve the way we approach training and racing and so I think our level will continue to improve. However, I also believe that the speed of the Division III field is improving by leaps and bounds and that suggests that we will have to train and race to a higher level and be at or near our capacity to earn our speed. I do not believe anything will come easily this year and we’ll have to be on our game at every point in the season to earn the right to race at the NCAAs again."
